Jeans shopping – the full story!!

Many years ago I wore vintage Levi jeans from Flip in Covent Garden but over the years have felt that they just weren’t my style and so I  haven’t worn them for about 20 years!! Back then I loved my jeans and wore them a lot, until they fell apart and were full of rips – I would pay a fortune for those rips now as they are right on trend!!

Seeing some fabulous outfits posted on social media and changing my look to be more fashion forward I thought that I would give them another try!! I also felt that it would be cool to wear a great pair of jeans again now I am 50 so a couple of weeks ago I went shopping.

As it was such a diversion from what I usually wear I thought that it may be fun to document it in photos and a video so I asked my friend Kerry aka The Girl and the Camera to capture the hunt to find the perfect pair.

We headed to Lovering and Co on Norwich market that is home to a collective vintage stalls called Up Market Vintage for some vintage Levis.

I tried on a few pairs and you will see more in the video when I share it here later in the month – I wanted something that I could wear in different ways – the ones I chose had a real 70’s feel with a bit of a flare and I am looking forward to styling them up with flats, heels and many ways.

So here is the evidence that of the jeans shopping trip and the proof that you can wear jeans at any age and look pretty darn good in them even if I do say so myself!!

I really liked wearing jeans again, I had forgotten what a classic and must have item they can be in the wardrobe – I think that I will be adding to my jeans wardrobe so I can wear them for all occasions but I think that I will always have to “dress” them up don’t think you will ever see me in jeans, t shirt and trainers!!! The Primark shoes are as close to trainers as I will get!!
