London Adventures

We rarely seem to get away any more so for my hubby’s birthday we booked a couple of days in London. It has been a while since we just had a wander around and have a few drinks and dinner in London so it was a little over due!!

So early on a Sunday morning we boarded the coach heading off for a weekend.of fun and spending some quality time together.

Our hotel for the weekend was the very stylish but reasonable was the Hoxton in Holburn – just round the corner from Covent Garden.

Once we checked in we set out to explore the surrounding area, I love just wandering around taking in the atmosphere and seeing all the window displays, and people watching.

Of course I found a Chanel, had my photo taken on the Covent Garden in Bloom seat, popped into The Shop at Bluebird and the pop up antique fair.

I wanted to try out the Bloomsbury Hotel . We started the evening in the Coral Room which is a stunning Deco inspired bar – and I want this colour for the conservatory walls!!

Dinner was in Dalloway Terrace – a beautiful setting surrounded by faux blooms – more conservatory inspiration ideas.

The food was delicious and after dinner we met a couple of friends in the Bloomsbury Bar and the lovely staff brought us a complimentary glass of bubbly and cake for my lovely hubby’s birthday.

After a very comfortable nights sleep – I rarely get a good nights rest when I stay in hotels but the bed was so comfy I work up refreshed and ready for more adventures.

Cute breakfast bags to set us up for the day.

Our first stop was the Victoria and Albert Museum to see the Mary Quant exhibition which was so amazing – such a fabulous collection. So many of the pieces I wanted to wear – so vintage versions will have to be sourced and were so modern.

So many fabulous outfits I would so wear them all!

We had such fun and it was lovely to be able spend some time with my lovely hubby.  We really need to get our life/balance sorted out and make a point of getting out of Norwich a bit more – don’t get me wrong I love my city but sometimes you need a change of scenery to recharge the batteries.

So farewell London until the next time. We will choose another area to explore next time and try more fabulous bars and eateries!! And I will leave you with my outfits for the weekend.
